AGum paste? Looked too "irregular" to me - but I'll give it a try. Thanks!!

AWhat do you mean it looks irregular?

It is a five petal flower that is shaped using a silicone former.  I recognize it because I bought the 3 piece set (cutter, and top+bottom former) from Global Sugar art.

ABy irregular I meant it looked more like one made from royal icing with a brush than one cut from gum paste - they always look smoother and thinner to me - it may just be me......

AIt's definitely not royal icing. When you use a veiner it thins the flower and gives it movement.

ok, this is ridiculous.  The pic is there when I "preview" my post and appears to be successfully pasted in, but disappears when I hit submit.. very odd. Here is the link to the set: blossom set (SV-005). GSA says it's out of stock, but at least you can see the pic. It is also avail from other sources on the web (I did a search).

those are really pretty, you've colored them nicely.

That pic is not mine. Mine were a lavender color and I didn't take a pic when I used them.

I found that pic in a search so you could see the mold and the finished flowers. They really are pretty.

As already posted, it's a simple cutter and veiner and the flowers are gum paste.

The cutter used in the Global Sugar Art link will give a more rounded flower...  the cutter in the OP's pic are petunias (as cupcakemaker has said).

Here's a link to some that I did a while ago...
