I usually use Sweetopia's royal icing recipe but I wanna try royal glaze instead. Royal icing is a little too hard for my liking. Could I add fresh fruit or something other than flavor oils? If so, how should i alter this recipe?

5 T Meringue Powder

3/4 t Cream of Tartar
3/4 C warm water (less for a thicker consistency)
2# 10X Cane Powdered Sugar (such as Domino)
1/4 C corn syrup
1T Glycerin (like Wilton - NOT drugstore glycerin!)
1t flavoring of choice (I use vanilla and butter)

Here's the link to the recipe-

Thanks!

AI have used lemon extract for my royal icing (RI) in place of a little bit of the water. Just leave out the amount of juice you use from the liquid..other than the strength I don't think fresh juice differs from extract for this use. Just don't leave the cookies uneaten for too many days.
