AHey everyone I was wondering if anyone has made soccer ball cake pops. I have no idea how to get the little hexagon/Pentagon shapes. The customer doesn't want any fondant so I can't cut them out & I can't find a candy mold to make them. I only have two more days to figure it out. PLEASE HELP!! she wants some baby blue & some black. Thanks!!!

The only way I can think of to do that is to dip the cake pop in white chocolate.  Then, cut tiny hexagonal shapes with an x-acto knife out of dark chocolate and affix them to the cake pop.

This is going to take a long time…

Check out the youtube video on making Soccer cake balls.wmv

What they basically say to do after you dip your cake ball into the white chocolate, and the chocolate has set, is to use a toothpick to draw hexagons and to fill in each alternating hexagon with melted black candy melts or your leftover white chocolate dyed black. I personally would use a fine paintbrush with the black candy melts to ensure control and help the lines to remain crisp and professional looking. In the video a bottle with a pointed tip was used.
