AWhat does it cost you to make an 8 inch vanilla buttercream cake that serves 24 people according to Wilton serving size? I'm still just a hobbyist but wondering how low u can go. It takes me about $8 to make a vanilla cake ( I use sour cream in it). This is not counting overhead just ingredients of cake. What do u people do to keep ingredient costs down?

Business overhead: depends upon what u people pay for getting licensed
I don't recall the title of the thread, but there was a really good thread where a lot of us told our costs for vanilla and chocolate cakes....perhaps a search would bring that up for you.
