Can I use dusts to color chocolate once I've already made the mold ?  I have a 3D whitetail deer mold that I am using to make a deer to put on my son's birthday cake, I had thought the easiest way to make it would be to use white chocolate and then color the horns, hooves, deer, nose, etc after it is molded.  So, my question is can I use powder dusts to color this white chocolate deer ?

Yes, but start light because the oils in the chocolate will "grab" the color and it will be hard to change it once you put it on.

Thank you.  It is a mold I have to pour the chocolate into and then open up when it hardens, I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to get all of the little details done otherwise.
