Hello everyone! I am new to the world of cake decorating with fondant and could use all the help and advise I could get. I have been reading many different posts on here about fondant. After reading everything I think that I should use a pound cake recipe if I am going to use fondant, but I am not sure. I want to start off with a simple 1 tier cake with fondant. I would like to do a chocolate flavored cake with coffee flavored buttercream ( I keep seeing posts about putting BC in between the cake and fondant), I am looking for recipes for both a cake a BC. Also I did see a post about letting the cake settle before putting the BC on, and then letting the BC sit a little before putting the fondant on. Are there any steps that anyone can give me for that process? Thank you!
