I found out we have cottage laws in the state I am moving to so I can start avertising my cakes. I been doing them under the table because it is illegal in illinois but I am moving to ohio in june, so i am trying to come up with some good prices and i need a name to. I only bake cream cakes (a betty croaker mix with a packet of generic dream whip and real milk. Very moist) My name be Luscious, so it fits and I wanna use it. Luscious's Moist Cream Cakes. my friend just laff, but I think it cute. Whaddaya think?
AAre you ONLY going to do cakes???? If yes how about Luscious Cakes??? If you are going to leave room to expand perhaps Luscious Desserts???
Good Luck, we in Alabama are on our third go round in the legislature with our Cottage Food Law to allow home baking and selling of those goods.
ADon't use the word "moist" ever, it's an awful word. Like an armpit.
AHow about Lady Luscious Cream Cakes? Or Cream Dream cakes? I'd suggest Wet and Wild, but that really doesn't suggest cake does it? Lol!
Oh...a good tag line could be..'you'll scream for cream!'
I like teh word moist and that is how people be describing my cakes when they bite them. I bake from scratch (a mix plus added ingredents not on the box) so I was thinking maybe "moist scratch cakes" if I don't use my name.
AMoist dreams, luscious cream bombs, moist lady cakes?
just Luscious moist cream dream cakes
AIs it just me or do these names sound alittle kinky????
Get your minds out of the gutter, ladies. Those were perfectly innocent suggestions.
OMG for real. I am freaking CRYING over here! Very kinky!
If you use a mix it isn't from scratch, so I wouldn't put "scratch" in your business name, it would be a bit deceiving. Keep the name simple, not too long.
AI think just Lady Luscious cream cakes would be great. Good luck to you.im also in Ohio. What part of Ohio are you moving to?
AOr just luscious cream cakes. Or lady L's dream cakes.???
Lady Luscious, Moist 'n Easy Home-Baked Goodness. Multi-purpose name, takes care of all products.
Lady Luscious, Moist 'n Easy Home-Baked Goodness. Multi-purpose 0_o
"Luscious & Delicious Cream Cakes"
AGood grief!! These all sound like stripper names!!!
I am trying to be postive but please don't make fun of my name. We can't help the names we was born with just like skin colors.
OMGOMG, I wasn't making fun of your name, I was trying to think of something positive that reflected your cream cakes, some of the replies were negative that is the reason I said wow.
There is nothing wrong with your name but I can see that there is something wrong with the people making fun of it.
AI was referring to the bakery names suggested by previous posters... And I stand by my words.
As for it being my very first post on this site, I don't see a problem with it - just an observation based on other posts. It wasn't an insult if that's what your seemingly sarcastic "Thank you for that comment" comment... Not like that's her actual official business name.
Thanks for the "Welcome to Cake Central" post, Mimi! :)
Moist and Creamy Lucious Lady, cakes.
Seems obvious to me.
Ouch....backing out of this convo.
On another note, I am also in Ohio and the laws here are FAN-freaking-TASTIC!
Although I did hear that the woman who I originally took my first cake class from had a filthy house. The downside....
I, too, would steer clear of using the word "moist." It's one of the most hated, gross-sounding words of all time. No kidding...look it up.
Keep it simple....Luscious Cakes (or Desserts), as someone else suggested.
Well, I considered backing out, but it was a train wreck. Had to pipe in.
