AI'm sorry, I know this question has been asked a bunch of times. My understanding is that you can add 1 tsp gum tex to fondant for modeling.

My question is does it need to rest at all or can it ne used right away? I added gum tex to fondant and when I was modeling it, it started ripping and cracking. I had added shortening too.

I'd appreciate any advice.

Thx!!
