ASo I was kinda inspired by the CC member guess thread and was wondering who is your favourite CC member? And if anyone has made any real friendships from this site? I know I have- I've come across some truly wonderful people on here and some fantastic advice! I feel very privileged to be a member, sooo who's your favourite????

thank you norasmom--here's that twenny bucks i promised you for posting that--lol

my favorite cc member is the next one who asks a question i can attempt to help with--especially the ones with structure/sculpting/logistic questions and remember the lady who was doing her daughter's wedding cake and kept running into issues--she's from socal and she made the most beautiful cake--at one point her kitchen was almost on fire --filled w/smoke etc--she did a bunch of sewing also for the wedding and it was a lot of fun helping--

I can't pick just one; I have about 10 equal favorites.

AYou don't have to pick just one, and also does that mean no ones made any personal friends here?

AI met Annabakescakes when i went to the ICES convention.

There are about 8 members I consider "friends" in that I trust them with personal information and thoughts. Im also lucky that one of them is my big cake crush.

AWonderful!! It must be a great help to have friends that understand your cake crises and whatnot as most people don't understand what goes into making cakes

I can't keep my kids' names straight most of the time, and I only have two of them. I sure can't remember who posts what on here enough to have a favorite. The ones I like I also talk to off CC, so they know who they are.

AI've met one person here IRL.

I have a small herd here that I like.

There's a large flock that I dislike.

There's one particular person - when I read their posts I always think to myself "Clairee - are you high?"

★Steel Magnolias reference, although not a direct quote.

I've been reading alot of posts on here since I joined and I really have to say I think Jason is the most informative person when it comes to the business side of things.  He's always got an answer for everything!  If I ever go into business I'm going to him first for advice.  Love ya Jason!

That's all Jason needs to hear...

Excuse me while I go barf... on a cake.

Better placement, ya think?

Thanks! I was actually on the verge of quitting CC, but now that I know I'm appreciated I think I'll stick around for another few years. ;)

I know WHO you mean.... hahahaha  (oh wait - THIS isn't the guessing game is it?)

Yes.... I have made MANY MANY friendships - people I have met online, some I have met in person and continue to have strong friendship with.

The list of people I dislike is LONG.... so much nicer to put it the way Godot did !!

THAT is what I love bout her....... she doesn't mince words - isn't frightened to say what she thinks - and is often so cryptic that only the SMART people 'get it'   -  so FUNNY!

Do you know Godot has her own fan club?   (this will be a surprise to her!)

.......remember when the answer to a pricing question was simply    -    99c

and the 'excuse me while I go barf' post above......... not so subtle ... hahahaha - I know what you are referring to .... and yep.... I required a bucket TOO

Not necessarily.  If you are on the computer view, you can see the date we joined on the left side by our avatars.  You can also view the information by looking at our profiles.

Depends on what profile you are talking about.....  most of the KEWL kids have been banned at least once.... and in those days it was not a "go sit in time out for 2 weeks'  - it was BOOM you are gone

AND more often that not for a REALLY insignifcant stupid thing..... eg.   for me - it was using the word CR*P  (insert first letter of alphabet)

A word used in Australia at least ten times a day

I think I date back to 2006

CC has changed a lot since those days

Thank you Norasmom!!! You are so sweet. My favorites are JWinslow (who is also my mentor) MimiFix , AuntGinn, and SMckinney. I have been given great advice by DD, Anna, AZ and ApllegumPam although not all of it has come in the best way, it is still appreciated.
