Big Boxes Of Cake Mix? Does Anyone Know Where To Get Large Volume Pound Cake Mix?

AI am a novice baker and have been asked to make a cake for 180 people! I love Duncan Hines Pound Cake Mix and have gotten many compliments on it. But I need BIG boxes to make a BIG cake. I would hate to have to buy a bazillions little boxes and don't want to make a cake from scratch for fear that it won't taste good. Please help:)

Try a restaurant supply in your area, I've found 5 and 10 pound mixes there or try online some offer discounts on shipping.

I would contact the companies that make mix and ask where you can buy it in bulk. Or just google restaurant supply in your city.

Costco, Sam's Club, or Restaurant Depot may carry larger boxes.  I know RD has huge 50# sacks of plain white cake mix.  Costco frequently has larger sizes of mix too.

It's not that big... not bazillions of boxes -- you just need to open 10 (or fewer) box mixes.

If you bought a 50lb bag of mix, you would most likely have lots left over.
