ASo this past week I was asked if I can make this cake For a 100 ppl the only thing that I would not do is the pony on top and the name so I gave him an estimate price of $185 for the cake and they said that it was too much. I don't think it's a bad price I actually think I could of gone higher for a cake that feed 100 people. So what do you guys think
Do some more research as well as a bit of math. You will make zero if you charge that little for 100 people. If it's your hobby then enjoy making in, but don't think because the customer says it's too much that it is.
AYes that's the same thing I thought because I have been charging way low for cakes that I have not been making a profit from cakes so today I am going to write down all my spends and then my hourly pay so I can actually make money from cakes thanks norasmom :0)
ADon't forget to include your overhead costs like cottage food license fees, insurance, advertising, etc.

AWay too low...i didn't even look at the picture and I can tell you that for 100 servings i'd be starting at around $450.
AThanks guys I need to workout my math and time to get a price out don't want to be a dummy pricing cakes thanks again
