Hello to all ! I have an 8x5 round cake dummie, never used and in shipping it kinda got beat up on the sides, Should I just fill in the gaps with buttercream before I cover it in fondant?

AYour dummy can be salvaged. When we have beat-up dummies we fill in with a little bit of fondant, or royal, and let the dummy dry before covering.
