filling for 6 layer rainbow cake

ADo you think that a filling other than butter cream would ok? I've never done over and I don't want it to be a disaster.

Yes...but I think whatever you needs to not clash with the colored layers of the cake.

ATrue... I hope they opt for butter cream. :)

post #5 of 6 need to advise them what will.....or will not work with that cake.   For example, with all those colors, I would not recommend a raspberry filling...or turtle.     You need to have a strong opinion with them if they pick something whacky.

AI made this cake last night. Even though I used chocolate ganache for the outside. I decided the layers needed to be white buttercream. The white is what makes the colors pop. It is a pretty large cake when all the layers are applied. The buttercream is stable and reliable. It seems to me any other filling would make it unstable.
