I use a 2" X 1 1/2" cupcake liner...I use the #20 scoop from webstaurant, it's 2.5 ounces, I use a heaping scoop of batter, making my cupcakes just about 3 ounces.

My standard sized cupcake pan fits a 2" liner across the bottom........and I get the 1.5" tall/high.

The weight can vary a lot depending upon the cake.

I like to put the standard cupcake paper liner into the square 'Fat Daddio' cupcake pans.  It takes a bit more batter, but it still fits in the standard cupcake plastic carriers.  I do this with chocolate cupcakes so I can pour lots of chocolate ganache on top before icing the tops.

AMy standard size cupcake measures 2" in diameter at the bottom and 2 3/4" diameter on top.
