How Long Can An Iced Cake Last In The Fridge/freezer?

AI made a cake for a friend Saturday and then realized the party is not till next Saturday! If I freeze it will it be ok? It's buttercream and pudding....I'm so frustrated with myself now!

Put it in a cardboard box, then wrap the box with either aluminum foil or plastic wrap.  Place in the freezer.  It will be fine.  Freezing a cake stops the process of going stale, putting a cake in the refrigerator accelerates the process of going stale.

 

Take it out of the freezer about 2 hours before delivery.  LEAVE IT WRAPPED!  Condensation will form on the wrapping, not the cake.
