a friend of mine wants me to make this cupcake topper, i love the idea.

but im doing mini cupcakes  and i purchases mini reeses BUT for hte top of the hat, what are some thin chocolate candies out there that you think would work best with mini reeses... i dont like hot thick this one looks...

I think I would just find a candy mold in that shape and make the chocolate squares myself. You can control how thick you want them by how much you pour into the molds. But that is just a thought I have never worked with candy molds before.

AI'd just use a square cutter and use fondant or mc. You can roll it out as thin as you'd like, super quick. Just make them in advance so they don't sag.
