I Need Some Help For A Quinceanera Cake Please!

AHelo, I am planing my daughter quinceanera cake, it's going to be a 3d version of her dres, the top part ( or toso) is goin to be stitofoam cover whit fondant and the dress is goin to be the cake. Now this is my cuestion, what recipe you recomend me to make a 16 inches cake I have alots of books THE WIMSICAL BAKE HOWS CONFETI CAKES are my favorites can you recomend one recipe from those books? For a white or vanila cake good for stack. Thanks in advance

no sorry i'm not familiar with those recipes --


the wasc on here is excellent and i like sylvia weinstock yellow cake recipe for scratch cakes




*** i use two and a half cups of cake flour--the recipe calls for two and a quarter cups

AI was reading the WASC cakelady recipe and have almond extract and I have a little one whit nut allergies, do you think can I use just vanilla?

sure -- vanilla is great in fact that's what i use--


i also use self rising fllour (and i do not add any additional salt, baking powder, baking soda if it called for) this gives it a teesny bit better rise -- not as dense
