Good morning.  Can any of the home bakers in GA help me with sales tax info?  I assume we need to collect/pay, but am having difficulty finding online info in this regard (an application or registration, even the proper website/office, etc.).  Thanks!!

Google- Sales tax Georgia and you will have everything you need and you can contact them if you have a question.

AWell, I've done that and all that seems to come up is property tax info and sales tax rate. Will keep trying. Thanks.

Call 877 423-6711, Georgia Department of Revenue-Business Services Unit and tell them you have questions on Sales tax and want information, if it applies to home bakers.  Make them understand who you are and that you are selling products under a cottage law type arrangement, if that is what you have in Georgia.

The state websites are set up for state licensed business accounts.  Take down the name of the person you talk to and Good Luck!   The tax sites are confusing to start with, but they are very informative.
