Canadian Equivalent Of Tylose Powder?
Decorating By luvmykids2bits Updated 14 Nov 2013 , 12:21pm by MsGF
I've read about tylose powder on here, but no one in stores seems to know what I'm talking about! I've been to Michael's and several speciality cake stores and no one has heard of tylose powder. They all point me to the gumpaste mix. I've been using cornstarch in my fondant instead, but just wondering - is there a Canadian equivalent to tylose powder? How can a Canadian get their hands on tylose?
Hi luvmykids2bits,
Not sure where you are located, I purchased my Tylose at Goldas kitchen. They are located in Canada, and ship worldwide.

Good Luck
AGolda's kitchen in Ontario carry the tylose powder but if you are in a hurry Michaels and walmart, bulk barn does carry gum tex actually from Wilton. It does the same job.
I'm in Ontario, Canada and I buy my Tylose and other goodies at Flour Confections.
