I just made Pam's mud cake.. my question is what should the batter be like?  The one I did the batter was not very thick in fact a bit runny.  Thank you

My mud cake batter isn't normally thick - it's pourable and needs to bake for a good 2 hours. Afterwards it should be a dense cake, but not dried out.

I haven't made Pam's recipe but the one I usually make is also pourable.  Other recipes I have tried have also been runny.

Yes, its meant to be quite a thin batter.

Don't try and cook it in bakers rings!  :P
