Most of these rose petal cakes that I've seen, all I've seen actually, have a gumpaste rose in the middle and all of the petals are layering out from that gumpaste rose.

This picture a bride gave me, it looks as if there is no rose and it's just a ton of petals.  I even blew the picture up to full page size and printed it out.

The bride hasn't gotten back to me...So, what say you?

Is there a rose on this cake or is it just a bunch of petals?

i think there is a flower swirling on the  top tier then it seems to be a train of petals cascading down and  disconnected from the top tier imo--it's pretty but it's a unique arrangement imo

so in the poll question my answer would be yes and no because there does seem to be a flower but then there's a disconnected petal cascade--does not seem to be all one flower to me

it looks like there's a small wild rose on the bottom left hand side of the top tier.

my vote is that it is only petals.  maybe even fondant petals.  but just petals
