I hope someone out there can answer this. I need a good substance to create sugar molds but it has to be able to withstand the heat from the poured sugar. Anyone know if this stuff (Candy Clay )will withstand heat well. If not, anybody got any ideas?
How hot does poured sugar get??? You might want to check out silicone plastique..http://www.culinart.net/silicone.html It can withstand heat up to 400 degrees... It's pretty cool stuff. I bought some at the ICES convention, but I haven't had a chance to play with it.
Candy clay is made from candy melts or chocolate and it definitely won't work.
