AHi all. I need some help please :) I am making a thank you cake for some nurses and I will be making a patient in a bed with a nurse stood next to the bed. I am having problems with the standing figurine as she will be on the board and not on the cake (as this is the bed). I am struggling to keep her her upright and have thrown my 1st attempt away as I could not get her to stand unaided. Any hints tips and advice will be gratefully received. Thank you

i think you should have her leaning over the patient with a gleam in her eye and a hypo ready to plunge in her hand ;)

i like 'action' cakes

you probably have a completely different idea of a more 'nightengale' type cake--don't mind me

ACan you knock a dowel in to the board and then build a leg on that or have her leaning against the bed?

AI think I'd use double drums. Just glue them together and that will give you something to anchor you supports. Looks really nice for the base, too.

A(wires or skewers up the leg or legs)

AThanks all . Didn't think about inserting the dowel supports in to the board .
