Hi, I just love the look of a single flower on the top of the cake when it's off to one side (ie. not centered) and its top is visible from the front of the cake.  My question is, is there a trick to getting that look?

Also, what is behind that flower anyway?  Does the cake look strange from every other angle then?

Thanks!

AI've propped the flower up with a little ball of fondant before, or if the back won't be seen, a cocktail stick.
