Aok so I went to the rice krispie website and their recipe says that the rice krispies only last a few days if kept in an air tight container..but scroll down and it says you can freeze them for up to 6 weeks and let them come to room temp.before serving...my question is has anyone tried this in trying to make something ahead of time?i see the posts here and most everyone says don't place in fridge..well,which is it?and why?i would really prefer to get as much done ahead of time that way if things don't work I have time to fix rather than wait 2 days before the cake is due..anyone know?thank you in advance!:)
There's a big difference between putting something in the fridge and putting it in the freezer. The refrigerator tends to dry things out, but the freezer doesn't if properly wrapped. I freeze RKT all of the time with great results. Just make sure you put it in a plastic freezer bag.
Asweetkiara..im only concerned about freezing my cake because im using a swissmbc and idk how it will hold up after it thaws especially because I will be using mostly purple and pink.and then I was of course concerned about making RKT and whether I could freeze the purse I am making.
