AHi...I would like to make a display dummy for an event im going to. If want to make the ombre rose cake on a dummy...do I need to cover the dummy in fondant first?! Or wet the cake?!

If your piping the ombre roses than lightly frost the dummy with your buttercream first. Fondant is more expensive and not necessary.

APs...do i have to use butter or can I use stork instead...will it firm up enough like butter? I have some stork nearing expiry... on xmas day actually..might as well use it if I can ;)

What is Stork for us in the US? Is it a vegetable shortening?
