AHi new to cake Central but was wondering if anyone could help me with a 14 inch chocolate cake recipe for a christening cake please, new to cake making too but after a few I've done recently getting more friends and family asking me to make them and this is the biggest yet., feeling scared x

I can sympathize... I'm making my first 14" round for a friend's mum's birthday soon and I'm nervous too haha! I can't really help you with the recipe since mine is vanilla. The only tip I can give is do a practice run and see how it turns out. I practiced already just with my usual vanilla cake recipe and it turned out fine. I put a flower nail in the centre of the pan to help with an even bake. worked well :-)
