I have been asked to make my Brother/Sister-in-Law wedding cake.

I have done stacked cakes before but the biggest was 3 Tier and a mixture of Chocolate & banana cake.

This cake is going to be 4 Tiers.

The cakes they want are:

Fruit Cake as the top tier to keep.

Choc mud

What order would you stack these in or does it not really matter?

Personally I would think to stack from densest/most stable to "least" with the exception of the fruit cake.  So I would do Mud, Marble then Carrot.  Unless of course if they want more or less of a certain flavor then I would stack according to what they wanted... HTH..:)

Thanks for that.

It won't be a big wedding so there will be plenty of each. I wanted to do a dummy tier, but they weren't keen. It will get eaten in the days after the wedding I'm sure!
