AHey guys!!! So I have to design some cake pops this weekend for a safari theme baby shower . I have done cake pops before and painted on with the Wilton colors what ever designs I need on the cake pop,BUT they don't dry & the paint smears allll over the treat bag when I put them on! Anyone have any idea what I can use ?? I also tried an edible marker but that doesn't work either :(

I usually use the gel color mixed with a little bit of vodka. It'll thin it out, and while ever so slightly being a bit tacky (depending on how thick you paint on the color) ,when the vodka evaporates it just leaves the color. I like that it thins it out making it easier to paint on rather than fighting with the straight gel out of the bottle.

Also, After you dip them in chocolate, you could try the edible markers. I've never used them on chocolate (if that's what you've dipped them in), but if you are gentle I'm sure it would work.

Good luck!
