AI used a rose cutter and some random orchid mold I had lying around the first time I made them. There's a video on YouTube of my first efforts. You really don't need the mold, I just used it because I had it. A ball tool and one of the shell looking gumpaste tools (Don't know what it's called) work just fine.

I am not sure if you would be interested but here is one that is done with a rose tip showing how to do it in buttercream. I am not sure if they used tip 104 or a bigger icing tip.
