Hi,

quick question.. I read online the other day that someone said their sugarpaste decs were wilting/melting when they put them onto buttercream, someone suggested she painted the back with confectioners glaze because it acted as a barrier so would stop it melting, but I read on here that it's not to be eaten? I don't have any glaze and I'm having the same issue, would edible glue act as a barrier? I know that's ok to be eaten. I've just got some letters to put on some cupcakes, I haven't added CMC to the sugarpaste because for me it does bugger all!

Any advise would be appreciated, thanks :)

How about using melted chocolate painted on the back?  It would provide a barrier and is definitely edible :-)
