I found the most glorious icing sugar and now I can't remember what it was. I have been trying desperately to find something other than regular powdered sugar for icings, which to me is grainy and disgusting when in icing that you intended to be smooth and wonderful. I am very familiar with meringue icings and I prefer them to all other types, but so many people aren't used to the silky texture and think it's too buttery and 'gross' (which I do not understand since they are apparently OK with eating what is basically lard and sugar stirred together).

What I found was either at Trader Joes or Whole Foods. It was a very small clear bag, shaped like a tiny bag of flour and held barely 2 cups of sugar. It was powdered sugar but it was pretty much pulverized to the point that it had no texture anymore. It has no cornstarch. It was also expensive so I would like to try making it myself if at all possible. If anyone can help me figure out where I bought it I would be forever grateful!
