Need to make these! http://shard2.1stdibs.us.com/archivesE/upload/8731/140/XXX_8731_1316878548_1.jpg in this sort of cake http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8473/8128355898_67c7912120_z.jpg

I think I'll manage the rest fine, but the blade of the sword?! eeek! Any ideas??

Thanks :)

ADepending on the size of the swords you could use dried spaghetti dipped in grey-coloured white chocolate and then sprayed with edible silver when dry. That's if you wanted the swords to stand up off of the board/cake. I used this method (minus the silver spray) for the cat whiskers on the Moshi Monsters cake I made for my niece and it worked well (there is a link to it in my signature). The chocolate coating makes the spaghetti surprisingly strong! If the blades only need to rest on the cake board, like in your second picture, then I would use grey modelling paste, sprayed silver. Good luck with the cake :)
