Hi!

I hope I'm posting in the right forum. I've made my first 'person' figure and it turned out quite satisfactory for a first attempt :) However, the figure I made looks more like a doll---if you know what I mean with a button nose. Now I want to try making a 'proper' face with a 'real' nose! I've been googling and the tutorials I've found so far all use a 'hook-like' tool to form the nose. The people who've put up the tutorials say they don't know what it is actually called. Does anyone out there know what this tool is called and where I can buy one? The tool I'm looking for is the second one from the top. Is there another tool that can do the same job as this one? If do please let me know. Thanks in advance.

And here's a pic of my very first 'person' fondant figure. He is a story book figure created by Astrid Lindgren and is called Emil.

why not use a toothpick? The nose is fine. I think if you make the nose with holes in it it will look not to cute. Or do you want the nose to be made from the same fondant as the head?  As a sugestion. Why not use a stitch tool for the jeans !

It is a JEM tool - Blade & Hook.....  Number 13 (I think)

Should be available for you at most of the UK cake sites.....

It is one of my favourite tools - and really comes into its own when modelling faces

ThePME Miniature Tool set is also good.... all of your modelling tools in miniature - including this hook & blade one - just makes working on smaller features so much easier,

Thank you so much for your suggestions...will definitely keep them in mind :) And yes you're right I want the nose to be made from the same fondant as the head.
