Hi, I need to make a black frosting that won't taste nasty without using a dark chocolate base first. My son hates chocolate and wants this Darth cake. Please help. His birthday is next month. Thank YOU!!!!

Thanks for the tip but neither my son or myself are big on fondant. It looks smooth but the taste is not to our liking. Should I use a powdered color instead in the traditional buttercream frosting?

I have to agree with Americolor.  Their black does wonderful with buttercream without having to use a large amount like you need with the Wilton color.
