Hello

I am making a 3D anime character cake for a young woman's birthday this week, and was wondering if there is a method to partially cover the cake with fondant and leave the rest as lemon buttercream icing?

I had hoped to do the face and skin out of fondant and the white uniform out of icing. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how to do it?

I often combine fondant and butter cream as my décor. Take a look at my website....if you need to see them combined.

As to which part of the decorations you make out of fondant and which are butter cream I choose which ever is easiest to do. If it's easier for you to make a white uniform out of frosting than do that....if it's easier for you to make it out of fondant, than do that.
