Have been wanting to try the maple/bacon cookies or cupcakes but am very leary about the bacon cooked and sitting unfridged for several days  after they are made.   a big fiasco with food poisoning in Toronto just happened and the culprit was maple bacon jam.  Anyone know how long bacon can sit in cookies or cupcakes safely?

they'd sit about one day in my house, cause I'd Eat Them ALL till they were gone.
