I need to make several dummy cakes for a shower. How far in advance can i cover them in fondant?
how do I store them?

ACover them now if you want. The only thing that can happen is they might get dusty, you can just dust them off. Store them anywhere, theres no special Needs. Although some day direct light can make colors fade.
