ADoes anyone know of a place to get sweetened condensed milk in bulk? I use quite a bit in my recipes and was wondering if I could get it cheaper somewhere

Make it yourself - then you have as little or as much as you require:

Basic recipe [1 can]

6 oz skim milk powder
5 oz sugar
3 oz butter
3 oz very hot water

Can you make this recipe with regular milk or does it have to be milk powder?

Thank you! Will this have the same texture as the canned stuff? How long will it keep?

There are plenty of recipes that use liquid milk, iIf you have the time.. After adding sugar, you have to reduce the liquid down [condense it], by boiling/simmering, to reach the right consistency.

How long will it keep?  It would probably store 5-7 days. The whole idea is to make it on the spot - so you don't have to store it as it just takes moments to make  ..

you can order a #10 can from Sysco or another supplier like that. and then put it in separate containers fro use.i don't know how well it freezes. but that may be an option
