I would do at least a 3 tier...6/8/10 serves 74. I do not recommend buying the pans. One side is more shallow so it bakes faster..and it doesn't have a good slant. It's better to carve ...and flip. I have done them in butter cream and fondant. Fondant covered ones are MUCH easier so I would definitely do that. There are lots of youtubes...watch them all and pick the one you feel comfortable with. Have fun! Post pictures!

I too have to make a TT for 150 people as well. I researched you tube.. start there type in how to make a TT. I picked up round separators to stack them. You can find them at Michael s or Hobby Lobby. My cake is butter cream but wish they chose Fondant. Just watch the video several times then maybe attempted to make a 6 inch as trial.
