Thank you! I am a terrible grammar Nazi and cringe when I see poor grammar, (or spelling, for that matter.)

Jan

When it comes to spelling and grammar, I am far from perfect, but shouldn't the period be outside the parentheses?  LOL  I'm just messing with you :D

:oops::oops: Hoo boy, I flunked that quiz, big time! You are so right. Usually I forget to add the second parenthesis completely. (Jan hangs her head in embarrassment.)  See, I got it right that time.  Fortunately, I can laugh at myself and appreciate a sharp eye. Chalk one up for you and I had better be really careful and proof read!

ALove these! Especially the one about " how much should I charge?" I always search before I ask something so I don't know why so many people don't! So aggravating!

How to roll a few of my favourites into one, please note this is my interpretation: I'm only a hobby baker and charged $100 for a three tier fondant with hand made roses, so why is the customer upset when their incorrectly constructed wedding cake collapses, I'm not really a business? I've never made a cake before but a family member insists that I can make their wedding cake, I have to travel across three states so I need the best cake recipe ever that will never fail no matter what my skill level is, it must be moist, I need a quick run down on whether to use buttercream or Ganache, the best recipe ever for both of those also please, and everyone's opinion on whether to make my own MMF or buy Satin Ice, Fondarific, Wilton or are there other brands that everyone prefers, and the pro's and con's of each one, and I have to do this for this coming weekend.

I'm sorry if I have upset anyone with the above (I'm not really), honestly, with all the threads out there, put a little effort in and try searching (eye roll).

You had to alert them?  I would think that would be the kind of job where if you are on the web you just pay attention to the back and forth and use your own discretion.

I do know how much to charge for a 3 tier wedding cake, but the lady down the road doesn’t and she is asking for help from CC. So your options are:

1) Answer her question with HELPFUL information (wow what a professional thing to do)

2) Scroll right by the question because you’ve seen it a million times and you can’t be helpful.  (Still a professional thing to do)

3) Reply to the question with sarcasm, which is not helpful in any way. (You look unprofessional)

See how easy that is- truly people lets stop the pettiness, its getting old.

ABetty, are you really asking for help or just trying to make a point of some kind?

because if you DO know how much to charge you can help her.
