I need to know how to make a realistic looking snake to go around the bottom tier of the cake. Its for a reptile theme birthday (9/21). Probably a 10" round cake
Is is fondant, gum paste or modeling chocolate? How far in advance can I make this? It would need to be flexible to wrap around the cake.
How do you get the "snake" so smooth? How thick? Is there an extruder large enough?
How do you get the impression (I ordered a silicone mat) onto the "fondant" and still keep the body smooth?
Any other tips/info will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!
