How To Make Hard Candy White?

AI'm trying to make some hard candy and want to get them pure white. I've read about adding icing sugar to the heated sugar mix but this isn't the look I'm going for and it also makes the candy chewing not hard. Can any one help?

AI think you need titanium dioxide (white food coloring) but I'm not positive.
