AHow do I apply the fondant without getting vertical creases down the side of the cake?

Also, how do you make different fondant decorations for the top of birthday cakes? Eg. Roses etc?

Thanks:)

There are loads of excellent tutorials on youtube that will show you how to apply fondant without getting creases, you sort of need to stretch it out like a skirt at the bottom of the cake while you put it on but it's easier to explain in a video than for me to tell you in words!

You can also easily find video tutorials on how to make flowers.
