AHi all Im confused regards to serving sizes of cakes. I'm finding different size guides online. I know wedding and celebration would be different. Can any one recommend a guide with both? I'm doing a wedding cake, sponge, for 150 people and not sure of the cake sizes to use. And I have a few request for celebration and would lovea guide to refer to. Thanks for all you help

These are just a few suggested charts that I found using the search method. Good luck & happy baking!
I like Earlene's cake chart. I always send a copy of the picture of how to cut the cake so whoever is cutting the cake doesn't cut big slabs of cake for people and therefore run out of cake...a 4 inch high piece of cake doesn't need to be real big when it so tall.
ABest thing you can do is put all the charts except Wilton wedding out of your head. Parties, birthdays, doesn't matter. I actually use a chart that kind of splits the difference between Wilton and Earlene, but most venue staff will be trained to go by Wilton, and using one chart makes it easier. Not once in my entire career has anyone questioned the size of my servings for any cake. Really, stick to one for all.
brilliant thanks for you help,
what cake sizes would you suggest for 150 people?
sponge cake, fondant covered
thanks all for your help ;)
The charts will tell you how many servings are in each tier as well.
Baking Sis...for some reason that Wilton link did not work for me. I am posting another http://www.wilton.com/wedding/wedding-cakes/wedding-cake-data.cfm
