Hi i am after some help i am making my daughters birthday cake which is peppa pig and i have a 16x16" cake tin but i need a recipe big enough to fill it wondering if anyone could possibly help me please :)
For 2 layers you will need approximately 16 cups of batter http://www.wilton.com/cakes/making-cakes/baking-wedding-cake-2-inch-pans.cfm
im sorry but that means nothing to me lol i dont cook in cups i need a actual recipe or how many time to repeat a recipe if you know what i mean :) xx
This recipe is delicious and it has adjustments for the # of servings http://www.food.com/recipe/white-almond-sour-cream-wedding-cake-69630 If you are making 2 layers in a 16x16 pan is 128 servings.
also you are going to need heating cores to bake a cake that large. Google them if you are unsure what they are.
Figure out how many cups is in one recipe and go from there. I'm afraid I'm the worst when it comes to increasing recipes.
I know the average box mix makes about 4-5 cups.
SO that means that 16 cups would only be 1 2" layer
