hii everybody , this is the first time im going to make a red velvet cake and i would like to know how much could i charge for a cake like this   ..( red velvet with cream cheese frosting , 8 x 3 and in fondant with a Dispicable Me Minion Cake Topper )  Thank You !!  :)

ATo put it in terms of simple math: cost of all ingredients and materials + (number of hours it takes to make x your desired hourly rate) = cost of cake There are other things to factor in too, such as overhead costs like licensing, insurance, etc. but at least that formula is a good basic start.

And don't forget in your hours time spent shopping, planning, cleaning. Search Jason Kraft's pricing formula. We have no idea of your local market, cost of ingredients, etc...theseare the types of things you need to know and be confident in BEFORE you start to sell cakes. And you need to do it legally so you don't end up losing everything you own in a lawsuit.

Exactly what BatterUpCake and asyouwish said for pricing but, I think that those characters are copyrighted and so you'll want to look into that before reproducing them. hth

Another good point but it's hard to push that point when CC promotes it with a "best minion" thread
