Testing Doneness (Buttercake With Peanut Butter Swirl)

I've made a butter cake in a loaf pan with a peanut butter swirl. It's been in the oven for an hour and it's springy but every toothpick test I've done for the past 10 minutes has been sticky. I suspect it's the peanut butter. Is that normal for cakes that have a jam / bread spread swirl?
