Hi new in making custom cakes . I want to use luster dust on my cake but dont want to use alcohol what other medium can I use to mix my colored powder with.Pls help.

Lemon juice from concentrate (bottled kind) works just as well.  You may have a lemony taste but if you are only covering small areas it won't be noticeable.

Thanks Norasmom . I think lustre dust on flowers and petals with lemon juice might work cause anyways not many eat it but what i can use when i want this nice pearly sheen on white fondant on the entire cake.sorry I am am a novice and these dusting powders dont come cheap in my part of world so i am bit unsure as to how to go about it .Any helpwill be appreciated.
