Hi all!
I searched through the forum, but couldn't seem to find anything regarding my situation.
I'm in Ohio, and I'm an unlicensed home kitchen under their cottage food laws. (I have pets, so can't become licensed.) Even though I'm unlicensed, I can still sell to grocery stores, restaurants, etc.
I contacted a local brewery/tap room over the weekend about running a food idea by them. One of the owners is willing to set up a time to meet with me.
What should I include in my proposal, other than a copy of Ohio's cottage food law, menu/prices, future menu items, and actual samples?
They have food trucks set up every night, so I'm sure my set up would be the same as theirs: I'd set up a table and be responsible for handling the sales of my baked goods.
Any thing I need to ask them? Like if the brewery requires permits or insurance? If I need to pay the brewery a fee or percentage for selling there? I don't know if the food trucks do or not.
Thanks bunches!
